Fast track to a better you!
Updated: May 2, 2019
This year has been such an adventure. God has challenged me in so many ways. I have grown so much relationally and I think its past due to share some of the things Ive learned since last year!
No one is perfect
So often I’ve gone through life feeling shame or convincing myself to not do something at all because of the fear of failure. Literally running away from possible success. That ended for me this year. I literally had to fight past the doubt. It easy to say stop caring about others opinions and just live your passion or truth but trust me its NOT as easy as it sounds. One thing I can say is no one is going to live this life for you. You need to create the life you want and for me it was accepting who I was. Being who I am unapologetically.
Be the best version of yourself
What does that even look like? I’m glad you asked. Work out. It’s not about being super skinny or built but its more about health. How can you feel good internally if you don’t feel good externally. Those body aches and pains can really put a damper on your good vibes your about to manifest.
Do a “ME “ day! Yes please! Hair, nails, brows whatever you need to do to look your best. Can’t afford to pay for that? Go to the dollar store and go to town. Manicure set, face mask, candles and a nice fruity beverage will due. Listen to music and meditate. Its important that you feel like you look good! You need to be confident. Sometimes a makeover or just a maintenance work does the trick.
Forgive! This was big for me. We hold on to so much junk for so many years we forgot it was there. That childhood bully or absent father. Who ever it is, even if its yourself. Sometimes we make mistakes. Let go of the pinned-up pain and remember how loved you are. God loves you. He forgave us so we should forgive as well. Now does this mean to allow foolishness in your life? Absolutely not, but don’t let anger frustration and holding a grudge keep you from moving forward. The other person has probably moved on. I think its time for you to truly allow grace to take over that broken piece.
Recommit to your happiness. It’s okay to be a little selfish sometimes. While your trying to rule your world its important to have some mandatory me time. When I don’t spend a day out of the week to just relax and decompress, I feel absolutely lost. Joy can be lost in being so serious so often. Take time to play. Write down a couple things you love to do and start the project. Learn about what makes you happy and make time to do it. For me its music and art.
Make realistic weekly goals! Being productive aids in confidence. It’s an amazing feeling at the end of the week to look at your list and see how you killed it. Praying over your goals is huge. We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us!
Take time for a devotional, even if its just listening to a sermon while working out. Self-care is making sure your soul stays light and Motivated. Faith and action can take a dream on paper and turn it into reality.
